Sustainable Materials

At Lives, we are committed to sourcing and using sustainable materials in all aspects of our clothing manufacturing. By integrating eco-friendly fabrics and reducing reliance on harmful materials, we strive to create products that not only meet high quality standards but also minimize environmental impact. Sustainability is central to our mission, and we continually explore innovative ways to incorporate natural, recycled, and low-impact materials into our collections.

Use of Organic Cotton

We offer the option of producing garments using certified organic cotton, allowing our clients to choose sustainable and environmentally conscious materials. Organic cotton is grown without harmful pesticides or synthetic fertilizers, reducing soil and water contamination while promoting biodiversity. Its production also requires 71% less water and generates a 46% smaller carbon footprint compared to conventional cotton farming. By providing this option, we support our clients in minimizing environmental impact while maintaining the highest standards of quality in manufacturing.

Use of Tencel, Modal, and Alpaca Fabrics

We offer the option of incorporating sustainable fabrics such as Tencel, Modal, and Alpaca into garment production, giving our clients environmentally friendly material choices. Tencel and Modal are sourced from sustainably harvested wood pulp and are produced using closed-loop processes that recycle water and solvents, minimizing environmental impact. Alpaca fiber, on the other hand, is a natural, biodegradable material that comes from ethical farming practices, requiring less water and fewer resources compared to traditional wool. By providing these sustainable fabric alternatives, we enable our clients to reduce reliance on synthetic or resource-intensive materials while promoting lower water usage, ethical practices, and eco-friendly production methods.

Local Sourcing of Materials

We prioritize the option of sourcing materials from local or regional suppliers whenever possible, minimizing the environmental impact associated with transportation. By reducing the distance that materials need to travel, we help lower carbon emissions tied to shipping, packaging, and distribution processes. Local sourcing not only reduces our carbon footprint but also supports regional economies, fostering growth and strengthening community ties. This approach allows us to align with our sustainability goals while enabling clients to benefit from a supply chain that is both eco-friendly and socially responsible.
